Yeah I don't get it either, maybe the ball is in a different location like you said? . I did find a thread from several years ago where the guy was saying the same thing, that the fork just BARELY protruded out the bell, he called holley and they said a stock fork would work on the bell. And another guy had chimed in and said he's been using a stock one for 10 years and it's been fine. However, with my setup I don't really want to run that kind of an angle on my cable, so the mcleod extended fork it is, now hopefully THAT fits properly...Looking at your pictures here..... I just don't get why you would need a longer clutch fork ( yes I can see why in the picture) The transmission and the clutch cable housing all mount in the same place as a stock bell????

Agreed, but that would not have anything to do with the cable angle?? If the hole where the cable attached was in a different place, the Transmission would not bolt on?? Just tossing out thoughts here..... I stayed at a Best Western last night......The bellhousing "bell" is physically larger.

Sure it does. The clutch fork holds the throwout bearing in ONE spot. So taking that into account,with a larger bell the stock clutch forks length is smaller. @impropernick ,I have my car back,but haven't a chance to look at my cable setup.Agreed, but that would not have anything to do with the cable angle??
