Clutch Pedal Sitting On Floor

Hey all, I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my clutch. Just finished up my t5 swap in my 95. Clutch, flywheel, TOB, Pilot bearing and fork are all brand new. I also have an adjustable cable with the firewall adjuster and single hook quadrant(sve brand). The nuts are literally and the end of Adjustment I can't go any further and my adjuster screwed out about halfway.

Yet my clutch still isn't grabbing.. And sits like an inch off the floor. Maybe someone can gimme a hand at finding out what's up. I'm thinking of buying a oem clutch cable as well. Also I wonder if it's something to do with my fork I can wiggle it.. Maybe bad pivot?

oem cable is definitely the way to go, but not sure if thats your issue

what cable did you use. Some aftermarket ones are longer than stock and a double hook quadrant is needed.

Most aftermarkwt cables are longer than oem allowing them to fit 87-93 aas wel as 94-95 models

This may be a stupid question but I just thought of it. If the clutch cable isn't routed correctly could that be an issue im having as to there being too much slack?

No.
The extra cable length allows you some alternative routing for the cable in case it is too close to something hot or in motion The cable is in a housing, just like the handbrake cable on a bicycle. This means that it is the amount of cable that sticks out past the ends of the housing that determines how much slack that that needs to be taken up by the adjustment mechanism.

When everything is properly installed, there is no slack in the cable. The clutch fork arm should resist movement by hand since it is pressing on the throwout bearing.

With the pivot ball properly adjusted, you should have about 1/4" free play between the back of the clutch fork arm and the back of the hole in the bellhousing

Dumb question maybe but...you looked under the dash and made sure the cable is hooked on the quadrant properly?

So the quadrant isnt adjustable by lifting up the pedal like stock?

Make sure the Throw out bearing is sitting right. (easy to fubar)
Make sure cable is adjusted right on transmission
