Ok I got up this morning and planned on doing what Sleeper told me to regarding tightening the balancer down. I go to put the car in gear and the clutch pedal is like a limp dick, no pressure whatsoever.

I checked the quadrant inside and then moved under the car & pulled off the shield where the cable attaches to the fork. Everything appears to be hooked up right but there is no pressure on the fork from the cable. I can move the fork at least an inch back & forth.

The car does have an adj cable on it but I dont know what to do?? Does the motor need to come back out or is this a simple adjustment issue??

The guy that helped me drop the motor in didnt exactly seem confident about what he helped me with. Before we put the motor in he was trying to put the TO bearing on and unhooked a cable from the fork inside the bellhousing. He was able to get it back together but mentioned something about the fork feeling loose.

You guys have been great with help so far. This has got to be one of the fastest response tech forums Ive ever been on.

TIA, Jon

If the cable is taut, Have someone push the clutch pedal while you watch the fork. If the fork moves a good bit, the issue is probably the clutch. If the fork doesn't move, look at the quadrant/pawl and the cable.

Good luck.

Let me try & explain a little better, the clutch pedal feels as if theres no cable at all on it (but the cable is on it because I checked). Its as though the pedal is just mounted with nothing attached & its floppy.

When Im under the car I can move the fork with my hand about an inch or so back and forth. It also feels like theres nothing attached to it, just like the clutch.

However, the cable is attached in both places (pedal & fork)...

This is the first car with a clutch that Ive actually worked on so Im clueless. I understand how its supposed to work but dont understand why its not lol.
