It started today but I noticed when I'm in 5th gear(manual) and I step on the gas(not forceful and not too lightly) and the rpms jump maybe a little(if it's at 2000, itll jump to 2500-3000) then go back down but it accelerates afterwards. No issues with the other gears, just that one.
I would agree with your diagnosis. Determining the cause requires an inspection.
Do you have signs of a worn throw out bearing? Is there any shudder or grabbing when you let the clutch out slowly that would indicate a warped plate or flywheel? If so, I’d plan on a clutch replacement soon. If not, I hope you can get an adjustment to let it engage fully.
