Wel no questions just comments today, installed a new booster from a 95 cobra in the fox today and all i can say is WOW unbelievable stopping force measured my stopping distance of 80-0 in the distance of about 2 parked silverados that were on the street i was testing the booster on, so i would say it was a 70 dollars well spent if you guys have any questions about the install please feel free to ask me.

on the fox cars the 93 booster is the way to go.the bolt holes line up so theres no need to enlarge the holes to fit one from other years.i wish i new that before i put a 95 in mine. phil

The 93 Cobra and SN95 boosters are physically larger so they "store" a little more vacuum adding to pedal force. They are really a good upgrade even with stock brakes.

If you are lacking vacuum however, you should install a vac reseviour.

the vaccuum issue is coming form the larger cam. and yes it would make the pedal alittle stiffer. you can try a different master cylinder that will give you more mechanical force to help overcome the lack of assist. a 94/95 v6 unit would help the most. couple that up with a larger booster and you should notice a big difference. a vaccuum canister
(or pump if you really wanna go all out) would help as well.

Really?
I have a 94 booster laying around in my 5 lug collection pile. So I can install it now on my stock brakes for the time being and be alright?

Yes, the '93 Cobra that is; the 94-95 booster is the same except you'll need to elongate the holes in the firewall some to get it to fit. The 94-95 is easier to find and it may be cheaper.

Hey guys, how does this set up sound? 93 cobra booster ,94/95 master cylinder,Maximum motorsports 3-2 adapter,94-95 gt/v6 spindles, hubs ,calipers, rotors and the flexible/braided lines for the sn-95 to fox conversion ?For now the rears are staying drums. My car is 5 lug now with moser axles and ranger drums out back and ranger rotors up front but the stock 4 banger brakes are just scary at the track.

why do people keep saying that the bolt holse dont need to be slotted for a 93 booster? i had to enlarge all of mine to give it even a chance of going in, and i still had to give it a few taps with the deadblow to get it in?

that being said, that was one upgrade that was definetly worth the money and hassle. drove around for close to a year with the stock booster on a cobra cylinder, it sucks having to use your whole weight on the brake pedal just to keep from going backwards down a hill at a stoplight.

yes, 93 mc, and youll need a 2-3 port conversion, look on maximum motorsports site for a kit (expensive though) or make you own, t fitting a a bit of brake line will make it pretty easy if you have the slightest idea of how to make the ends.

same issue i had, so i changed it some may say the 94 is the better route but a warning, it does NOT go in easy but is well worth it when its in.

I have my engine out and I'm hoping putting in the booster/MC from a 94 v6 will be easier that way.

I used a wrench and was wishing the whole time I had ratching wrenches. I would suggest taking out the seat too if you care about your back. Getting stuff off isn't near as hard as getting them back on . Overall, it's not that hard...just frustrating.

on my 93 i am doing a SN95 dash swap, i am also doing the brakes from a 95 V6 car. can i use the pedal assy. and booster, and just re-route my lines to make them follow the same path as the 95? their is no ABS. should i use the prop. valve? After reading this thread i am going to rob the MC & Booster. My car is a 5sp.
