Can i use cobra computer in stock GT? i know cobra came with 24lbs injectors and GT came with 19lbs injectors?

Just wondering because on of my buddy needs 5 speed ecu and i happen to have cobra ecu i was going to use later on.

What would happen??? has anyone done this kind of thing before? Let me know.

Thanks

I beleive you need the 24#/hr injectors and not sure if the MAF is the same between cobra and GT... I think it is but I am not sure...

Make sure you add up the costs as you may be better off getting a TwEECer or similar to just tune the computer he has...

The MAF is the same, the injectors, however are not.

Unless he wants to jump to some 24# injectors, he would probably come out better getting it tuned or picking up a T4M0 PCM that would match the rest of the engine combo. I see one on eBay now for $50.

Like said before, the MAF's are the same on the gt and Cobra. The pcm makes up for the difference between the 19 and 24# injectors. You would at least need to get 24# injectors. Even then I'm not so sure it would run o.k. because all of the differences in the flow rates of the intake, heads, and cam. You would be better off finding a gt spec pcm. They are on Ebay and Craig's list all the time. If you wanted to upgrade injectors you still could, but you would need a MAF calibrated for them. Good luck

He has cobra intake and after market MAF, 24 injectors, E303 cam, B351 roller rockers.

Except for the stock e7's, So it can work right? without causing any problems? he needs to get the car run right now that's why i am asking.

Thanks

believe it or not he was running on stock automatic computer with 24 lbs injectors. What a moron... and he wonders why his car doesn't run right... "Yes" we got the black tube also.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to try the j4j1, but I'm still not too sure it would run right with the e7 heads. Heads are really what makes the engine. The air flow differences between the two heads aren't vast, but they are significantly different. I don't know if the Cobra pcm can learn around this?
