Someone is selling me the whole intake system off a 94 Cobra with 40,000 miles on it. It includes the cobra upper and lower, the TB, and the MAF. I know that the MAF is calibrated for 24lb injectors, but I don't know what mm the TB is. The system looks in excellent condition. He told me that I could buy a set of 24lb injectors for my car and since I have an adjustable FPR(kirban) I wouldn't have any trouble, is this right? I know 24lbers are a little much since I'm not getting heads or cam, but what do you all think? It's a pretty good deal. Oh, and I'm not stupid enough to get taken twice(i think). I want to do a COD with this guy. He's willing to give me all of his information but I'm very shaky and won't do it any other way but COD. He can send me the parts and after I inspect them at the UPS office, I'll decide if I want them or not? So what do you all think, can I make it work?

well, stupid of me. I know the intake and TB will work without doing anything but switching them, but my main concern was the MAF. will it work with my stock injectors? will i have to upgrade? will the upgrade be worth it since no cam or heads?

The Cobra MAF (if stock) is the exact same one in your GT.

actually, 24 lb injectors arent too much for your set up. if you keep the stock fuel pressure, youll be fine with the 24#ers

Yeah, the Cobra MAF is a 19# injector MAF and the unique Cobra computer makes the corrections for running the 24# injectors.

BUT if you keep the stock MAF(gt or cobra it doesnt matter), and add 24lb injectors you will need a cobra computer. Either that or you'll need to get a MAF calibrated for 24lb injectors.

It's all coming to me. Ok, so I guess he's throwing that in there just to get rid of them. No problem, there's no harm in having an extra TB and MAF. I just spoke to him and he's willing to do COD, and I already saw the pics of the parts and they are in excellent condition.

Also, will I see a noticeable increase in power with 24lb inj. and cobra computer/ calibrated MAF? Is it worth it at this point? And if I do get them, what should my FP be at?

Thanx

Just remember to get a new MAF set to work with the 24# injectors. Keep the FP set at the stock settings and you should be all good! It should be more spunky with the Cobra intake. Do some searching on the site to see what luck others have had with the set-up. I REALLY hope this one works out for ya so you can tackle your distributor lesson! hahaha

Dont forget to replace your strut tower brace. The stock GT one will not work with the cobra intake. It sit higher than the GT. Been there done that.

Very good advice given on the computer I had to learn all that the hard way.

If I sell any of the parts, it'll probably be the ones I have on right now. The parts I'm getting only have 40,000 miles where mine already have close to 140,000 miles. They work fine tho, so I'll see if I'll get rid of them.

Thanx for all of youre replies.
