With all this talk about coil over set up's, I thought I would dig around and see what I could come up with using Ford parts.
Photo 1 Is the parts I came up with. A modified upper arm, steel coil spring spacer found on a lot of old Fords and a upper shock mount.
Photo 2 Is what I did to the upper arm. I put in a screw in ball joint and took out the spring perch mounting area to make more room for the coil over. It has a brace on the side but that may not be needed since the arm won't be holding up the car anymore.
Photo 3 Is the metal coil spring spacer and the upper shock mount, inverted to be used on the inside of the shock tower to mount the top of the coil over too.
The upper arm still needs work and a lower arm mount for the coil over still has to be made, some hardware and other stuff but you get idea. What do you think?
