Coil overs and wheel clearances.

I plan on going with coil overs in the front soon but I have 17x9 front wheels. The inner lip of the wheel is about 1/4" from the front strut. Since a coil over wraps around the strut I am figuring that they will touch. That is one reason I am trying to sell my wheels. So am I right, or will there be clearance?

I am running 17*9 wheels up front with coil-overs..I just used a 1/4" spacer from Pepboys on each front wheel and problem solved..
