Hello everyone, love the forums, this would be my 1st post.

Anyway I have an 03 GT and I just installed a cold air intake, and i have a couple questions.

First has anyone had clearance issues when installing the air filter inside the fenderwell?
Second I am now noticing a slight hiss at idle and when i get on the gas. Is this normal? I'm not seeing any leeks or anything. Thanks guys in advance.

welcome

no issues for me and the hissing noise is pretty common after removing the factory intact tract.

I noticed a little more noise when I installed my BBK. The filter is a tight fit in the fender well but, it will go in.

It was a cheaper set-up. I think i'm just gonna reinstall the stock one and modify the tube that is in the fenderwell. Maybe get a K&N.

I tried to get the filter in again and there is just no damn room for the filter.

Take that filter out of the fender - a turn in front of the MAF is just bad news.

You will need a hand with this,but...
....put the filter up in it's location in the fender, and have a buddy slide the elbow tube through the mounting plate, and filter, then tighten.
