Hey i am lookin into a cold air intake and i was wondering it i bought like the K & N Cold Air Intake Kit with everything or if another brand was better, or else what if i bought one of those cheap-o ones off of ebay or used my stock and just put in a K & N Filter would be work the same, i don't know if i see the difference between the Cold Air intake and the stock intake, unless there is a cooling device inside the tubing. Also i have seen Ram Air intake that mount right in front of the bumper where the fog lights go. what would be my best direction and do u actually notice a difference with a "cold-air" intake?

Less air restriction.......My two cents..........if you can get one that mounts in the fender well so your pulling more cool air.......I personally don't think it matters because several people get pvc and make their own....

my stock one already goes in the fender and so i could just buy a K&N, and then would the stainless steel tubing be better then my stock tubing, also do u notice much of a difference with the K&N filter?

Get one off ebay. I got mine for $37.99 shipped and it came in about 3 days. I work at an auto parts store and a K&N filter alone is about $40.00. Mine came with a K&N style filter and is just as good.

"also do u notice much of a difference with the K&N filter?"

To be honest, no. I have tried both the cold air and k&N with stock air box. No difference in power but with the cold-air, the car now makes an annoying "airy" sound. Dyno proof anyone?
