What is the best brand? MAC? BBK? Something else? What would you recommend?

Also, I've seen generic brands being sold on eBay for more than half the price... how do they compare with the big name brands?

Thanks for the help.

You want one that goes from the TB to the MAF, and from the MAF to inside the fenderwell. The one's that leave a conical filter hanging off the MAF just suck in hot air from the engine bay, defeats the purpose.

With a cold air kit, your basically basing choice on the looks of the kit, because they all work the same aslong as they are the fenderwell style.

Whatever is cheapest and looks good, go for it!

Yeah, I was thinking about a generic one from eBay... if it works the same, why not spend $45 instead of $130...

The factory box is a cold air intake. If you like the looks of the fenderwell kits, go for it. But don't expect any performance increase. See the link for a comparison - no difference at all between a CAI and the stock box with silencer removed and a flat panel K&N.

Aye, its nothing but bling bling.

On a side note, I LIKE the bling bling, and the BBK CAI has been great so far. Good fit and finish. Since its all for looks, and I would get one that you think looks the best.
