Collectors/classic insurance

Yeah I figured it was the heads holding me back. A tune is needed to run this setup, what do you recommend? Can I just go get a dyno tune or do I need to buy an OTS tuner?

You don't need any dyno tuner or programmer, just make sure you use good gas and check where your timing is set.

You say you have the appropriate injectors, what exactly does that mean? You also don't mention a mass air meter brand?

Realistically stock injectors are more than enough for you.

Ok what gas do you suggest I use? I have 87, 89, 91 and 93 and the gas station that I have always gone to since I've been driving. Should I run stock timing?

Also, update on the insurance situation. I called Geico today which is who I have my truck insured with and the rest of my family (2 other trucks). And right now just for my truck I pay $259 a month. If I just add the mustang with the same coverage (100/300 liability) my insurance will go DOWN to $247! That is the best news I could have gotten so I am very happy.

Thanks for the help and suggestions guys I'm looking forward to joining the mustang circle.

Sorry I missed this part of your post. The guy that is doing the work for me is selling me the cobra upper/lower intake plus mass air flow and stuff. He will be doing the speed density to MAF conversion for me. In his listing for it it is worded like this,
"I have a cobra upper and lower intake, along with the BBk 70mm T/B and associated injectors , cold air intake"
He pretty much threw it in with the car and I trust his work and knowledge of mustangs so I will just ask questions when I'm installing it with him, but to you does it sound right?

Would you guys recommend going with gt40 heads instead of the E7's?

Ok so plans have changed a little. His cobra upper and lower intake is from a 94 5.0 so it won't fit. He sold all the other parts as a set to someone else. I'm trying to get my hands on a set of gt40 heads, would you guys recommend going with a gt40 upper and lower intake or an edelbrock performer upper and lower intake? The prices are just about the same used. If I get the gt40 heads and one of those intakes what do you guys recommend getting as far as TB, MAF sensor and injectors?
What size TB? 70mm or 75mm? Will either work?
What size MAF? I've found 70mm and 76mm and 80mm all tuned for 24lb/min.
Are stock injectors ok for this? I'm guess I will need 24lb/min, agreed? If I get the 24lb/min do I need a fuel pressure regulator?

Thanks for the help
John
