Well it seems that Maryland Mustang HAS nothing intelligent to add to this post. Assuming that two vehicles made by one manufacturer would be side by side same because they both say FORD somewhere on the body is just the kind of thing that screws up perfectly good components. I've got an 86 Stang. I'm pretty familiar with the internal components of much of it. I wouldn't presume that what's true for my motor would be the same for every other motor put out the same year for different vehicles. I do believe as a matter of fact, that I'd even asked if the motor in that truck was an H.O. Not something I'd know unless I'd asked since I've never owned an 86 F-150. IMO, every question 5spd GT has asked has been a valid one. It will certainly help him and his buddy to get a combo together that will work efficiently instead of making lame assumptions and screwing something up.
