I have already added 1 phoenix gold tantrum X 10". I want to replace my HU with something classy looking( no red, blue and green flashing lights) and i want to replace my front speakers with some nice components. I have ben looking at focal and boston acoustic but all i can find are 6.5" and 5.5". Will these fit? also what are people doing to fill the space where the in-dash 6-disc was? thanks in advance for your help.

you can find these at bestbuy or most stereo installation places.

I like primier pioneers for the classy look but there are alot more out in the market.

Yeah you need to use a dash kit. It looks like a double din but its onlly din in a half. As far as comp goe if the are to small what you do is use a blank wich will be a large cirlce with anouther one insde it for the smaller sze speaker its kind of like an adapter. Let me know if your interested in dvd HU set up I have pioneer if thats good enough I know you mentioned uper end HU.

What do you mean you want a "nice" component set? The two you mentioned are highly reccomended as far as sound quality is concerned (and are not overly flashy or anything). Just make sure they get powered with a high end amplifier or they will not even come close to their potential.

As far as headunites are concerned. I would just like to give you the heads up -- do not buy head units for looks. It seems as though, quality is substituted for looks, as we have all seen with the Sony Xplod line.

Personally, I would stick with the names that have good reputations. The two that instantly come to mind are Pioneer and Alpine.. In my opinion.. the two best overall decks (looks, sound, options, dependability etc..) on the market.. But I think if you are going for looks, nobody can really tell you what deck looks the best because it is personal preference..(and if you are going for sound quality you might want to look into eclipse, etc) but I do know that the forementioned brand names have some nice looking HU's, no doubt.

Do yourself a favor and get some CDT Audio components. The HD line sounds nicer then Focal and way more natural then Boston. The Eurosport line is
