Computer info center question

Has anyone besides me checked to see what avg. mph shows on they're info panel when your driving. Mine stays at 34 mph even cruisin on the freeway for an hour...never seems to change no matter what speed I drive...its always 34 mph??????? Is computer stuck?

Sounds like it is stuck. Or maybe you have the new Ford prototype that I have heard talk about. Can you open you hood and see if you have thiry-four mice running in a wheel? I had thought they were going with 40 mice per hour (mph) but maybe a few of yours have given out already.
:rlaugh:

Funny...now that you mention it, I think mine always reads 34 mph too. I'll have to doubel check today.

FYI - I also noticed that my mpg is usually 1 lower on the computer than what I'm actually getting.

Well I've looked under the hood and sooo sorry to disappoint you, but I have 300 horses under there..........:rlaugh:  :jester:

Mine sits right on 31 mph. I would think it would change a mph or two after some long highway cruising, especially with only 4,000 miles on my Stang (I have never reset the average mph since I bought mine). I guess if I'm not interested in what my average mph is from the day I got the car, I could reset it and see if it really works.

On a side note, my MPG reading is more like 0.7 mpg low than a full mpg, although my last tank was almost dead on. I suppose the accuracy may depend on what tye of driving you had on the current tank.

Funny, mine says 34mph too. Not surprised though since most of my driving is on a 35 mph road. Wouldn't it be sweet if you could program the Elapsed Time section to time your 1/4 mile et? Not sure if anyone else has mentioned that before but it just crossed my mind.
