I have to admit that I jerry-rigged a fox once instead of fixing it the right way.
I had an 86 GT Auto that wouldnt go into park and it turns out the cable was getting in a bind due to cracks in the outer casing. I had planned on selling the pony, so instead of replacing the cable I fixed a piece of metal and attached it to one of the bolts on the tranmission pan, to keep it up and out of a bind so it could extend fully and go into park. Im not proud of what I did but it sure worked nicely after that.
I know that I cant be the only one that rigged something on a pony, so make me feel better and make your spit out your confession.
