hi guys...im not sure what to do with my rear suspension as far as making it hook...to start off its an 89 vert with full length subframe connectors, nitto drags, and eibach lowering springs with the front swaybar gone....first of all i know i need to ditch the lowering springs...but should i go with the eibach drag springs or just throw the stock springs back on???? i also have southside lift bars that will go on...now my question is if i bought lakewood 90/10 and 50/50 shocks and struts, will those work well with lift bars????? im lost on what to do!?!? please help!
thanks!!
ps- its a heads/cam 302 right now but soon to be 331 stroker...and it has a built AOD and 3200 stall

The lakewood 90/10's and 50/50's would be a great improvement along with the eibach drag launch springs. The lowering springs will really hurt you

You will REALLY wanna get some upper and lower control arms, as they will probably make the largest difference

Lift bar and lower control arm are usually interchangable terms. If the "lift bar" replaces the control arm, it's a safe bet the springs/shocks will work just fine. Do the lift bars have a provisioning for the spring?

i know for a fact that the lift bars replace the lower control arms.... so here is what im thinking for my rear suspension so far: subframe connectors, ssm lift bars, eibach drag springs, lakewood 90/10 & 50/50 shocks and struts...anything im missing to make it hook hard??? what do you guys think???
thanks!

With the lift bars it will hook hard alright. Right until the flimsy uppers and soft stock bushings give way. While you're in there replacing those parts with at least 94/95 bushings and double adjustable uppers (so you can adjust your pinion angle) you'd better put some torque box reinforcements in because those lift bars are going to rip the TBs right apart. You may want to have someone reweld the LCA brackets to the rear really good because I've seen what lift bars can do to them with just the factory welds.

If i was you i would be looking at some strange engineering struts and shocks. adjustable so you can have a decent ride on the road and track.

Also as stated i think getting uppers and lowers would be better. Lakewoods Traction action is a nice set up.
