I got a letter from the DMV today and this is what it said.
Dear Matthew
As a result of DMV's normal auditing of Connecticut's Emission Testing Program, it was detected that your vehicle's OBDII system has been altered from its original OEM specifications. This is primarily due to engine performance enhancement software that may not be intended for use on the road.
DMV is currently in the process of updating various aspects of the ODBII scan analysis. If, by its next scheduled inspection, your vehicle's ODB II system is not configured according to OEM specifications at the time of the emissions test, the result may be an automatic failure. If this happens your vehicle would not pass its emissions inspection until its computer communicates all required information to the emissions analyzer.
It would be in your best interest to contact the supplier of any engine performance enhancement software installed in your vehicle regarding compliance with ODBII standards when useing their product.
So does this mean I won't pass next time. In 2 years when I have to go again I will most likely have a S/C and that requires a tune. I can't just restore my default tune then.
