I got a letter from the DMV today and this is what it said.

Dear Matthew

As a result of DMV's normal auditing of Connecticut's Emission Testing Program, it was detected that your vehicle's OBDII system has been altered from its original OEM specifications. This is primarily due to engine performance enhancement software that may not be intended for use on the road.

DMV is currently in the process of updating various aspects of the ODBII scan analysis. If, by its next scheduled inspection, your vehicle's ODB II system is not configured according to OEM specifications at the time of the emissions test, the result may be an automatic failure. If this happens your vehicle would not pass its emissions inspection until its computer communicates all required information to the emissions analyzer.

It would be in your best interest to contact the supplier of any engine performance enhancement software installed in your vehicle regarding compliance with ODBII standards when useing their product.

So does this mean I won't pass next time. In 2 years when I have to go again I will most likely have a S/C and that requires a tune. I can't just restore my default tune then.

Im sick of this emmisions BS in CT. Every cop is out to give anyone a "fix it" ticket or some other asinine ticket. They gave my friend an exhaust ticket for his SRT-4 neon, because the cop, nor the DMV officer believed him that the car does not come with mufflers from the factory. These people need to get their head out of their @$$ and worry about more important things than if your car is too loud or causing slightly more pollution than the car was designed to. I cant wait for them to get rid of emmisions testing in CT for the third time.

Sorry for the rant, long day at work

Yeah no kidding but the thing that got me was I got my emissions done three months ago and it passed. I have the paper work to prove it. So why do I get a letter three months later saying what it said?

Looks like it got caught when they were auditing the testing data. You have the rear 02s programmed off with a handheld tuner?
