Convertable Row Bar?

well its called a light bar. If you have the right tools it shouldn be a problem. I seen the installation on horsepower tv and it didnt look too hard. Depending on which one you get it should come with installation instructions and templates for drilling the holes..

yeah the light bar is useless pice of crap....i would be easy to install but if you want to be legal for SCCA events you need a 4 point bar and for NHRA events you need a 6 point....i would (and did) get a 4 point autopower bar which is upgradeable to 6 points later on. the autopower bar only cost $160 and it actualy stiffens the chassis quite abit

Hey dude where did you buy your bar?
I'm in San Jose, do you ever come down here, I would
like to check out the bar on your car. Thanks

a light bar looks nice but has no structure stiffening qualities to it. if you just want looks then a light bar would be the best way to go.

a rollbar, i would guess, is what a light bar is trying to imitate. $150-$200 for a 4 point bar but to get it installed (welded) is $500-$600. don't know why its so much though. seem like all you have to do is put down the top and weld in the right places.

i'm saving up for a 6 point.

it costs alot to weld it up because you have to strip the interior to weld...but if you were to strip the back seat all the parts around it and carpet your self the price of welding would go down greatly....also i got mine from a shop in layfette but you can order them from www.fourvalve.com

Cool.. I've stripped my car in the winter to paint the interior.
Came out really good.. My brother could weld it in for me so that's no prob.

Do they come with instructions to get it align good?
You said you got it for $160.00, was it a special?
It's 224 right now.

i check my recept it was $220 i knew the shop owner so that may have help becuase list is like 260, what exactly did you do to your interior? i am in the middle of permently deleting my center consol and rear seat i am just intrested it what other are doing....and it isn't hard to align i just messure and check it a more times then you can stand

I painted the interior. Its black on black but it looked like black/blue/gray/

1.I first took out all the iterior pieces, everything, except for dash ( didn't want to
mess around with wires )
2.Clean the heck out of them with degreeser
3. Clean the heck out of them....
4. Clean the heck out of them....
5. Clean the heck out of them....
6. Clean the heck out of them....
7. Painted with SEM paint and bulldog to promote adhesion

It came out good, Some pieces not so well, but it looks a lot better than before.

The interior came out good, suprisingly the only hard pieces to do where the solid plastics like the air vents, the center plastic console, etc. etc.

I didn't like them how it came first, so I sanded them and re did them.

If I had messed up with the dash I was pretty much #%^ed up. becuase you
can't really sand them down.
