Convertible Help!!!!

new to the forums but not stangs. i have an 89 gt convertible and the retaining bolt that holds the latch assembly and wut makes it stay closed is missing and i need a link or help to find that one new bolt if ne1 has ne ideas plz let me know asap. Ford sells the whole latch assembly but wants 300 but not just bolt. Thanx

I would start checking junkyards and stuff. Should be the same part for any vert 87-93 not sure about earlier years. Also Mustang Parts Specialties deals in a lot of used parts not sure what the web address is though.

I used a bolt, washers and two nuts to fix it.

you are referring to the thing where the clips latch on right? small plastic pieces right at the top of the windshield? If so 5.0 resto has them for much for like $15 each...www.50resto.com check it out.
