Cool place for dual purge?

nitrous purge is a selanoid that allows you to spray the nitrous into the air instead of your engine. the reason for it is to clean out your nitrous lines. i have to go to work otherwise i would explain it a little better but if you want to look on one of the nitrous companies websites you should find a good explanation

How often do you guys do it if I may ask? Thanks.

Most do it right before each run. I personally purge through the engine. I don't have a "purge". I just activate the nitrous and shut it off right quickly during the burnout. Another reason to do this, is to make sure you have your bottle on. :D

A problem for the engine? No.... a problem for a delay in your nitrous hit, yes.

Many people blast the juice off the line. I used to be able to. For those people, it's important to get a consistant, predictable launch out of their car.

For big time drag cars that rely on nitrous, they are running rich as heck. If they try to launch and there is no juice (bottle left off) the car bogs like a MOFO. :D

I have a 96 cobra hood as well. I put strobes in my hood scoops and had planned to purge with those on. Strobes couldn't withstand the heat, weather, or vibrations I guess... so they are coming back off. Still no purge. Always found other things I needed more for $100. Plus I would waste a lot of juice showing off and purging on ricers to get a reaction out of them. :D

someone a while back posted their purge coming out of the 5.0 badge on the side quarter panel. that has been my favorite. also the fact that i like the 5.0 badge on our cars than the GT ones, but thats just my opinion.

i guess the important part is to make sure that you can see it, more than others being able to see.

Here is a question, what is the difference between a fuel and a nitrous soneloid? I have a spare fuel solenoid kicking around my housing and was wondering what would be stoping me from purging a little nitrous out of it?

They were just White, that were suppose to be weatherproof. They were cheap, and poorly made. I could rarely get to stobe at the same time. So I tossed them.

The ONLY vid I have of them is here:

Wow is that old....

i figured they were some cheap ones but didn't wanna say that and sound like a dick. i'm all about cheap but if you want a good strobe effect ya gotta go with the more expensive emergency type ones like I got. If you pay that much for just a purge effect though your nuts
