it is all about CFM's, IMHO. most guys do it to get rid of the parasitic loss from driving the mechanical (thermo-clutched) fan. a new decent clutch is pricey, as are new fan blades (since they crack), so people just upgrade to electric fans (which can also be slimmer and more efficient).TomCat said:Hey kind of a n00b question here, but do you guys replace the fans only for cooling effiency??
