I am having troubles with my 1990 Ford Mustang lx. I recently replaced the heater core are having problems with losing antifreeze. Now i am trying to figure out what the normal running temperature is? Also what is the correct amount of antifreeze to put in the radiator? Is it normal for the overflow antifreeze bottle to let antifreeze out on the ground? Thanks any answers are greatly appriciated.

coolant capacity = 14 quarts

the overflow bottle is to catch the expanded coolant when hot and the system will draw it back in as the coolant cools down.

have you pressurized the system and checked for leaks??
have you checked the radiator cap??

i believe it runs a 195* thermostat
