What are you guys using for aftermarket coolant resovior? I am currently using the canton aluminum resorvior for 94-95 cars but i want to get rid of it and get small 1 quart aluminum one. and mount it some where else.

I know that the factory one or canton 94-95 one uses the factory coolant level sensor so if i get the aftermarket resorvior that does not use the sensor or cap on it what do i do with the sensor? just unplug it and leave it? or am i gonna get low coolant light?

What are you guys using? and what did you guys do with the sensor?

Thanks

I have an aluminum catch can from Jegs with a breather fitting on the top and L fitting on the bottom with a hose going to the same place as the stock catch bottle.

When you just unplug the stock sensor it does not cause the dash light to come on.

If it is plugged in to the sensor and there is no water to complete the circuit at the electrodes at the end of the sensor then the dash light comes on.

If you need a new one you should get one from summit or small aftermarket aluminum can, I bought a canton 94-95 mustang one, it works good but little on the expensive side, And i just found out i can just unplug the sensor and it wouldnt trip the low coolant light

Yeh thats pretty much the same as the 201 but a little smaller. I'm also looking at the round overflows on summit. I guess I should take a look and see where I want to mount it. That'll determine what size i'll need. For the guys that have done this, what are you doing with the ccrm?

I have already relocated the ccrm to the side right by the filter. You can get the round overflow and get a mounting bracket from moroso for like $7. you can mount it anywhere you want inside the fender or at the frame etc etc

Okay, cool deal :) I will defnetly let you know mysterymachine, Let me order the small round one and test it out how it works, in the worst case i can just return it,

Here is the picture of the how canton 94-95 mustang one looks mounted,

I had to use the 99-up V6 coolant bracket so it sits and fit perfect without a spacer of some sort,

I had to find this out the hard way after trying to make this can work with 94-95 bracket, it simply will not fit so dont even try with 94-95 coolant/ccrm bracket,

Of course you will have to relocate the ccrm to the fender or under your air box

i have a stock one and it is fine for my purposes.

just curious hollywood ... why don't you like the one in there now?

BlackVert

The canton one is fine, It's just one of those mods that I wanted to do it for a while,

I am gonna get rid of the ABS pump, mover the battery to the back and get the smaller can and mount it on the frame.

Just trying new things...lol
