stangs been running warm at cruise and around town. thermostat doesn't seem to be cycling stuck open maybe? runs fine on highway just around town or in traffic it gets hot. so i got a murray motorad 180* "fail safe" thermostat. i was told by the oriellys guy that murray is a sister company of mr. gasket but i'm starting to doubt this. i was after a mr gasket 180* pressure balanced therm. anyways is the murray comparable or even close or did this chump just lie to me? also describe "pressure balanced" and why it is better. finally i've never used a "failsafe" therm. that is supposed to not stick shut so are these a waste of money or what? i ask because to me it looks like if the engine gets a little hotter than usual the stupid thing just sticks open and u have to replace it again. so mr. gasket 180* balanced or not? by the way car ran perfectly cool for 4 months and then seemingly after i installed my tranny cooler it started this junk but i don't think that the tranny oil cooler is the problem.
