hey guys,

i was installing a new lower radiator hose yesterday, and it was leaking alittle bit, but the hose was on correctly and the clamp was tight as it goes. I ran the car for about 10 minutes and the leaking stopped. The motor however was cool on the drivers side, and the passengers side was a lot hotter. Well, after about 10 minutes i turned the car off and it began leaking like crazy from the waterpump, straight down....so i think my waterpump has died

Anyhow, my question is about that half and half thing. Half engine cool, half engine hot. I can't think of why it can do that.... Is it something to do with the water pump going out?

Is a remanufactured water pump alright to buy? i don't have enough money to spend on a hi-performance water pump or something like that.

Is there anything else you would advise to replace at this time as well? since I'll have to take most of it apart

Thanks for any help you can offer

Be sure to flush the entire cooling system

You could have some blockage in their also. Be sure to properly flush the entire system while you are replacing the water pump. Also spent the extra $6 to get a new thermostat to complete the job.

recently had my water pump go out too, leaking from the weep hole. Just pay the extra $10, maybe less, for a new water pump instead of the remanufactured. my "new" remanufactured had problems before i even put it on.
