Hey I just bought a new set of coil boots for my COP and I'm trying to figure out how to connect them together. The boots have the metal coils already installed. I just need to know how to get the metal coil connected to the COP. The instructions show them tapping the metal coil alone to the COP. Has anyone done this before or have any suggestions?

They come apart seperate.

When I replaced my boots and coils, I fed the spring through the new boot (be careful), and when it came out of the top it kind of hooks/snaps into the top of the COP.

I pulled the boot off my old COP and the metal coil was connected to the COP. Now the new coils are in the boot and the coil isn't long enough to reach the COP, and it doesn't even seem that it would reach the spark plug, it's so compacted in the boot. Any other suggestions?

They are long enough. Pull the rubber boot off, pull the old spring off. Put the new spring on, put the new boot on. They are hard to snap on sometimes but when you tighten the screw that holds the coil on they will snap on.
