Whats different about the 86+ dual exhaust?
Except for the fuel injection
thank you for updating my lack of knowledge here,,, When these cars were new I always looked at 5 speeds only, so my understanding was 86 cars were the first FI cars..... My EX and I looked at a new 85 GT to buy, knowing the 86's were going to come with the new fangled Fuel Injection that nobody wanted.... LOL... How times change......That's original.
CFI (Central Fuel Injection) came on 1984 and 1985 V8 models equipped with Auto transmission. The 5-spd cars were carb.
It's a really crude EFI featuring essentially a carb with two fuel injectors in the bowl.
Are there any special bumpers that have notches for the exhaust? Or do they just run out under the bumper.... Getting Ideas for when I install the exhaust.. forgive me OP if I have diverted this discussion...It's a true dual exhaust with a small crossover tube.
