I was replacing my rear springs and shocks today when I noticed how bad the extra set of shocks were (quad shocks there called?). My car is a 95 Vert and I would guess these quad shocks were original. I had to take one side of the quad shock off to drop the rear end low enough. I have to tell you, a fart has more pressure than these old quad shocks.

I called the dealer and they want like $80 a pop. Grr. There must be a cost effective solution. Any ideas???

You can buy an aftermarket set of lower control arms, then you won't have to use the quad shocks. Or you can get a KYB quad shock from Summit for less then $20 a piece.

I can never find anything at Summit. I get lost in their online catalog. Any chance anyone knows the part# for the KYB quad shock (or better even: the part# and an inexpensive retailer?

$28. Search by part number: KYB-KG4521. When you're searching, it's handy to know that "quad shock" is only one name these go by. "Axle damper" is another way of saying it.
