Hey guys,

I have a set of blue "Powered by Ford" valve covers. I was thinking it would be cool to sand blast them and have them chromed. Any idea how much this would cost?

Are "Powered by Ford" chrome valve covers already available?

Second, has anyone heard of clear valve covers? Like made of lexan or something like that? Is that just lame? :)

Powered by ford valve covers are quite common and come in all sorts of styles.

It's been my experience that it's far cheaper to purchase new cromed valve covers than it is to have your existing ones cromed.

Clear valve covers do exist. Tho I think they are pretty lame unless it's a show only car. With the car running there would be so much oil flung onto them that you wouldn't be able to see through them anyway. Plus with a few years of use they would be so clouded that you wouldn't be able to see through them at all anyway. (exactly the same problem as the clear differential covers sold for chev's) I would also be concerned about underhood heat making the plastic/lexan prone to cracking/breaking after a few years.
