I know the question was is the price reasonable, but I have a different perspective. A decent engine hoist is around $200. The gaskets and material MAYBE $100. I would buy a hoist, pull the engine, change what needs to be changed, save myself $500 AND now have an engine hoist. An engine can EASILY be pulled in an hour and a half....2 hours tops. Isn't that what these cars are supposed to be about?

Sorry I mentioned it.
But it does read like you're not educated, likely not the case but anyway,
If you're gonna have to pay to play with these cars you're going to need to find a shop that is familiar with these cars.
I think $800 for all that is not bad,

Dude, are you using talk to text? The reason I ask is your words are abbreviated and there is no punctuation.
If you look at the responses they are complete words and use punctuation.

If thats the way you see it, why not not post stuff. Then we won’t have to “ Not like” that fact that you can’t be bothered to look like you didn’t pay attention in smart phone class.

This is why most of us work on our own cars, these cars are old enough now that most mechanics can't work on them.
The shop I hang around luckily has experience with older stuff and I've helped them with a few fox stangs, lucky for me stangnet has made me look like a hero more than once, go figure.

Because you expect us to tolerate the fact that you are too ( admittedly lazy) to communicate properly. Why do I have to put bandaids on my eyes to avoid looking at the fact that you think looking stupid is ok here?

I guess it’s just a matter of whether or not you want people to take you serious and help you. If you can’t be bothered to put all 4 letters in the word “your”, ( and just about every other thing you write) most people here won’t be bothered to answer your questions.

Seems pretty simple to me.

If you want to play in the deep end of the pool, learn how to swim.
And leave your water wings on the deck.

Now I'm really sorry I brought it up.
I was going to send you a pm but since I started this mess I will publicly apologise for the grammer crap, just don't go out in left field and miss the ball.
If you look around the forums here you will see that the members post like they have an education and want to be understood not like they are on other sites that don't care if you get your stuff fixed right or if they can even understand what you posted, don't lose site of why you are here.

Yeesh. Done the oil pan in the car years back, with a buddy helping it wasn't to bad. I don't trust anyone to work on my cars, very rarely is something out of my realm of repair. Like said already, small initial investment and you can do the work yourself.
