Up here in stupid MA, we have to run the dyno-smog test every 2 years. I dont have a problem because i save my stock cats and switch em back in. now for my question, obviously, nitrous would have no effect on emmsssions when taking the test, however i dontw ant to use it if i dont have to. Assuming a good tune with a turbo, or a supercharger, and if i had all the otehr required emmissions crap, (dont know if you can setup a turbo to fit to the stock h-pipe) Will it be able to pass, knowing that ill at least be using 30lb injectors at that level? has anyoen ever tried? thanks

They dyno your car at the same time they do a smog test on it
They use a dynonometer to simulate actual driving while they sniff the exhaust for emissions. It's intended to be more real-world than an idle sniffer test. They do not do WOT and cannot tell you your max horsepower :)

vortechs are supposed to be 50 state emissions legal. i wouldn't see why you wouldn't pass. but then again, if you take off the supercharger belt, then its just a piece of metal in the induction path and doesn't make any difference. a turbo is different.

i think that a turbo wouldn't, but a supercharger would because you can always just take the belt off and run it N/A.
