Sunday still looks pretty good. And maybe the rain on Saturday will hold out until later in the evening. I'm going up Friday and making a whole weekend out of it, so I think it's still worth it.

I really hope it doesn't rain, in the last three weeks I bought a cobra intake, C&L 76mm MAF, BBK 70mm throttle body, and some drag radials just for FFW.
One more question, if it rains on Saturday will they have the True Street Competion on Sunday?

I'll be heading up with My brother (Hissing Cobra) on Friday. I'll be running True Street on Sat with my E.T Streets. I'll also be running Friday night on my regular street tire Radials. I just looked up on the schedule and it says the track is open from 12.00 p.m. - 4.00 p.m. for test and tune and also tech in. Whats up with that? It says the track is closed and secured at 6.00 p.m. Does anybody know if this is true? Usually every year it is always open on Friday night from 6.00-10.00 p.m. on this weekend. My car qualifies for the Street stang class but my tires are too big they stick out about a 1/8" past the wheel lip It sounds like an interesting class! Good luck to everyone going! Hope we all have a nice weekend.

paully! whats up! we will hafta pit together again! lol my father has moved on to a different class so its just me! see you there and the rest of the gang!!

I'll be heading out tommorrow morning!! I'm camping at Exeter Elms Campground for the weekend. I wanted to run the car but I'm afraid the 7.5 rear wont hold up. :( so I'm just gonna show both days. Hope to see you guys there.

BTW If anyone has a '94-'98 or '99+ 8.8 rearend for sale let me know!!!! :D

I got to the track Fri at about 4:15. I paid for the weekend & Fri night.

They got washed out Fri, I went back to the campground & got hammered in the storms that came thru Fri night/Sat morn. The wind was rocking my camper  .

I went to the track on Saturday & sat around in the rain all day :( .

Then on Sun the they tried their best to cram everything into one day but we couldn't beat the 9:00 pm curfew. My friend Bob Baker with the dark blue '67 fastback & I pulled to the top of staging for the Street Ford final only to be shutdown by the staff as it was 9:01.

The FFW promoters were really cool though. They still had two class winner trophies as Sat was cancelled. They gave us each one & took our pics in the winners circle :nice:

Should I change my sig to 5 & 1/2 time class winner ? LOL.

Street ET,

so you won again... great race we had in round one. Congrats

I bought back in to get another slip and ran 12.79@113 breaking out again on my 12.9 dial.

You were the closest race I had all day. On many of the following runs I was out of it at the 1000' mark. That was supposed to be a bye for me. You really made me sweat it.

If you have to lose it's good to do it by running an awesome # on street radials. I think with that time you could have bagged Street Stang.

Hey Street Et,
It was nice meeting you and talking to you. I am the guy you beat in the semi-final round with the 67' coupe. It was my first FFW with that car. Hope to see you around again.

Mike

With a semi final finish at your 1st FFW I think it's pretty clear I'll be seeing you around again. Next time I might not be as lucky ;) .

Don't forget about Tasca Day Oct 2nd. :nice:

And for a little FFW history, The '67 fastback and I were in the Street Ford Final in '96 when unfortunately Bob Baker went red. That year I also won Trophy Stock heads up. The year before I won The Saturday Street Challenge at the inaugural Epping FFW. In 2001 I won SF. In 2002 I won the True Street Bracket and & Bob won in Street Ford. Bob also won Street Ford Sat & Sun once but I forgot what year. Bob has put a couple of points day class wins under his belt this year and has won several nostalgia days as well.

BTW, love the car. '67 is one of my favorite early models along with the '69 Mach 1.
