They look nothing like my new engine pics, but I had to snap these I installed the Cobra R hood after having the underside painted. The top will be painted with the car next year...along with Saleen Rear Bumper and 281 wing.

What else is makes the car look "ricey" for now is all the sticky tape left from the removal of the Xenon kit. After I snapped these I brought the car inside and removed about 1/4 of all that sticky tape. I would like an even taller hood (maybe 3") but since I already have this one I guess Ill just put the $$ to something else. I will be adding the Mach 1 Chin spoiler in black.

Thanks
RC
PS...dont at the Escort in the background...it gets me from A to B and gets good gas mileage

get some goo-gone or gunk it should remove the glue residue.

its progress...and let someone think its a beater or beat up mustang. Then lay a smackdown on them.

Those escorts get great MPG. The wife has a ZX2 and it is a nice little driver.

That is NOT glue "residue". That's the actual 3m body tape. The Goo Gone will NOT soak through that. Im having to peel it off piece by piece and watching it tear in the process...then I can use some Goo Gone to wipe off any smidgen left behind. I did about 1/4 of the car after the pics.

I think a heat gun also helps remove/loosen the glue when the foam is still there. At least you know the tape did its job well.... That has got to be frustrating to deal with moreso after busting your hump getting things super clean under the hood.

If the rest of the car comes out 1/2 as good as under the hood...it will look killer.

IT DOESNT MATCH ITS SO RICE WTF YOU NOOB!!!!!1

Can't wait to see it painted up! I never cared much for the other one. The Mach1 thing will look really good.

Oh and that tape . . . if it's anything like servo tape like what you'd use in R/C cars, the heat gun should do the trick. Otherwise aircraft paint remover would certainly work

Actually I agree. I mainly liked the front and sides on the Xenon. I most likely will be putting a rear Saleen bumper. That is a replacement, not an add-on.

Thanks

If you're getting the car repainted next year, should have the antenna deleted and put one in the dash or a wire one run around the inside of the windshield.

Just makes for a cleaner look.

i would think its the opposite now. even with the green hood, it looks 100% better without that urethane monstrosity wrapped around the bottom of it. i dont see the mach1 chin spoiler though. did you decide not to go with it rob?

Dont want a WHOLE kit anymore...Too much scraping in the front and hard to get jacks under it on the sides. Cant disagree with the looks but dired of the hassles. Will settle for the back part.
