Couple of SVO questions, turbo T and distributor.

Ok, the T that screws into the compressor housing on the turbo, the barb with the smaller inner diameter goes to the boost solenoid or waste gate? Second question. Took the distributor out when I took the engine out of the car to paint the block and now I forgot where the rotor position is, grrr. So if I line up both the crank and cam pulleys at TDC, then line my distributor up with the factory notches stamped into the block and base of the distributor which I guess signifies 10 degrees btdc, should the rotor be pointing almost exactly at the the first cylinder wire on the cap? Or be a little to the left or to the right? I have a while before I put the engine back in and run it to check the timing, I just wanted to be close before I threw it back in the car.
Thanks for the help.

I would suggest that you pull out the #1 spark plug and roll the motor over until it pushes air past your thumb(thumb over the hole, of course). The timing mark should be lined up at this point. Now, put your distributor in, lining up the rotor with the #1 wire. You'll need a timing lite to get the timing dead on though. Either that or do it the old school way and tune it in by ear.
