Ok, so outside of that I’d just need to plug and play ecu kit correct? Which would you recommend?I would get a complete motor from the salvage yard. It will come with fuel rail and injectors. Make sure it comes with the engine harness also. You should not need anything other than that for the motor.
Thanks for the write up btw, first time attempting this, my brother and dad are helping me with this both are great mechanics. I’m doing the manual brakes and steering just so I can speed the process up a bit, trying to get done for the fall. Already have 4.6 mounts and k member from a previous build. Can you still run a ghost tune on these trucks engines? Would that be a decent tune? Also what trans did you run? I’ve found a couple junkyard 6 speed for a 11’ on up mustang for around 1500.I used the ford control pack for the 2011-2014. Also running the f150 motor so the tune is a little off. Been waiting to get it taken care of but still drives great. What are your plans for power steering and brakes? I chose the manual route and although its not that bad I plan to switch to hydroboost and power steering.
You will need heater hoses if you want that or loop the lines. Id suggest spacers for the k member. You need a Mod motor k member and mod motor mounts. Id suggest aje had no problems with it myself. You will need headers and the rest of the exhaust of your choice. Mod motor flywheel and clutch **Has to be the 8 bolt flywheel** they make 2 versions a 10.5 and 11inch. Bell housing depending what trans you are running same with starter. Cross member for the trans your running or make your own. Mod motor coolant over flow tank. Gas pedal mount. Fuel lines and either a covette fuel filter with regulator or a install a adjustable regulator and run lines.
There is a lot more that I am forgetting. Very easy swap depending on what you want out of it and well worth it. Let me know if you have any other questions

Yes . I wouldn’t waist time trying to install a mt82 6 speed . They are a headache to fit into a Fox for a weak transmission . T56 is the way to go manual .
