what are some symptoms of a cracked block?

over heating
loss of coolant
steam from tail pipes
?????

the coolant should always be almost to the rad cap all the time right?

Do a compression test. Those are head gasket symptoms. I would go that route first.

Probably a head gasket. Check to be sure it's not in your oil (oil will look milky); this will wreck bearings in short order if you run it with water/coolant in your oil.

Sounds like a head gasket.

A cracked block it would have lost a bunch of oil perssure.

You would be surpised at how many things like that show up after a head swap. Unless you are 100 % sure that you did everything correctly I would start checking how everything was put together.

Some of the headbolts are 'wet'. Did you use sealer on these?

also the dowl pins have to be in or they will leak.

they magnaflux the heads and replaced one valve

yes with the white thread tape and new arp bolts

Well i mean if your overheating and have coolant loss through your exhaust thats the first step.
