The top of my steering wheel is starting to crack. Is there a way to hydrate it and remove some of the cracking?

So the steering wheel in my 93 was doing the same thing and I also noticed the top part would roll over the steel core of the wheel. I ended up buying a new one from LMR and swapping the buttons and air bag over to it. Best thing I’ve done to the car in the last few years. Wheel was a little off center but I’ve got the MM steering shaft so I just reclocked it and good to go. It wasn’t a cheap solution but I was tired of how crappy it looked and the outer part coming loose of the steel core was concerning.

Is that the leather wrapped unit? You can have a shop rewrap them.

Redlinegoods.com I think sells leather wraps and have shops in the us you can send the wheel and wrap to for install.

Or buy the LMR repro wheel

I do not understand how no one at lmr noticed they screwed up the repo wheel.... I guess they where too lazy to make a new pattern for there 350 wheel.. One thing I like though, there so easy to spot on the fake low mile cars.

Ha. I just noticed that. You are right. Looks like they designed the 350 wheel first and then just took the easy way out.
