Personally, I have no experience with either cam, so I am just repeating what I have been told.

Jason Porcelli at Steeda said that the #19 cam is the best aftermarket cam for a '94-'95 5.0 without a computer tune because the the small overlap promotes vacuum that the '94-'95 computer wants to see. So it's supposed to build power without idle issues.

I like the crane, thats what I run. I was where your at when I was deciding. I chose the 2031 over the #19 because I couldnt live with myself if I paid steeda's prices. summit sells a kit with the cam and springs for $239.95 (part# 444226). CANT BEAT THAT WITH A STICK!

of course the guy at steeda would say the steeda cam is good lol. That is true what he said and the cam is a good cam for our cars, but the whole idle issue isnt really an issue unless you go with a letter cam. The crane 2031 is known for its great streetability and great idle as well. Both cams make about the same power at around the same powerband so its really an issue of which one you can get cheaper.

Well i run the 2031 and i chose it mainly because it was more aggressive and the steeda 19 just seemed far to mild for me. My car is also a daily driver. I was able to make my car run damn good before i had my tweecer with the 2031 i believe that its a pretty driveable cam. It didnt run as great as now but it didnt stall or surge.

I run the 19....I pd 220.00 plus shipping for it, no doubt its more $$$ than most...I have no complaints and also nothing to really add here...BUT....the 2031 was a replacement for the Cobra motor and a 1.7 cam, that helps it work right there...the 19 is a 1.6, so the 2031 is a tad more aggressive right there...
I have had minor gremlins, nothing un livable for a cam swap...
I was up in the air and went Steeda....I would go the 2031, as it got good reviews to...its more cam...thats better..
I have massaged factory stuff and run mid 13s...That was my goal, the 19 helped get me there so thats cool with me..
Wolverine/Comp Cams XR series, people speak highly of them to......there are plenty of off the shelf choices... Good luck choosing...
