I did a burnout last week after picking up my gf from school and both wheels left marks, but last night I lit them up again and was told only one wheel was spinning... Could my posi need to be rebuilt? Where can I get a rebuild kit and how much will it cost? :bang:

From what i've been told, it may do that at times. I've seen some cars do that every once in a while. Now don't hold me to that, just saying there may not neccessarily be anything wrong with your car.

If the clutches are worn or the S spring is weak, one side could be slipping with your new sticky tires (that last part was for Serious).

A quick, kinda lame way to try and help it is to drain the fluid and put fresh oil in that has no friction modifier. The modifier actually helps the clutches slip, so guys who want bite (at the possible expense of chatter when one wheel is spinning faster than the other) can try this.

A rebuild kit is about 50 bucks if you want to just freshen the LSD. That is the route I would go unless this was a one-time thing for some reason.

Good luck.

this is the rebuild kit i used in mine click on link i'm very happy with it. before install i would have occasional 1 wheel peels but after rebuilding traction lok i have not had any 1 wheel peels with this kit installed. i also upgraded from 3.08 gears to 3.73 gears at same time. how many miles are on the traction lok i see you have 4.10 gears did you rebuild traction lok when 4.10s were added, its recomended to rebuild traction lok with gear install according to 2nd link i added below read it has some good info about gear install and traction lok rebuild.
