Crossmember

I am curious, does the stock crossmembe for a 94-95 have an offset to it? By offset i mean like one side of the tranny mount where it bolts up, is a different length than the opposing tranny mount bolt hole from the respective holes where they bolt to the underbody......


did that make any sense... I am tired, it is probably jumbled...

Yes it is offset!!!If it doesnt fit right spin it around and it should line up.....Took me a little while under the car to figure that out.

yep, tranny crossmember will only go in one way. flip it around.

mine is even from middle to each side...... i think i have one from an auto....... or something, i have been having vibration troubles, and tranny alignment troubles etc. ffor a long time and i think this is why...

The ones for auto's and 5 spd's are the same.

what about the fox bodies..... I have an auto car i am parting out, it is even both ways as well..... so they can't be the same...


how much difference is there one way to the other..... much? like and Inch or like a 1/4".....

It's barley noticeable...When you have it the wrong way the bolts almost go in but they dont.Like I said I was under the car for a little while trying to figure this one out .I have a aftermarket urethane trans mount so I had to screw in bolts it didnt have studs like the stocker.If it doesnt fit spin it around and it should work.I'm not sure if the fox bodies have the same one.I'll try and get pic's tomorrow

cool deal mine is in the car but the transmission sits further to one side in the tranny tunnel than i think it should....
