Anybody know how to quiet down the damn cruise kill switch on the clutch? My 2005 Ranger had the same thing, but it was added on at the dealer before I took delivery, I thought it was "special feature" on my Ranger. Apparently not.

It is more of an annoyance than a problem. I suppose I could just remove it, but thought I would ask for some input first.

There may be a thread on this already, but I did not see one.

Switch

You don't want to take it off. If you do, and step on the clutch, the RPM's will peg.

Oh well

Yeah, I figured I would just use the brake to kill the cruise, but with my luck I would need to make a quick stop or lane change and peg the RPM's.

It clicks everytime I shift, quiet but noticeable. It occurs when the clutch is almost all the way out. Listen for it next time you drive, I guarantee that you will hear it. Maybe I am being too picky here.

Just so you don't think you're nuts, I do hear it as well. Doesn't bother me other than you would think there's a quieter swtich out there for an extra $.10 that they could have used. Just crank up the tunes and fuhgetaboutit.

Noisy Switch

Wrap a piece of foam rubber around it.

JBA LT headers
JBA off-raod hpipe
Flowmaster axle-bck
AC/DC CD track 1 Back in Black

That should cure the pesky noise:SNSign:
