Gap? Are you talking about below the faceplate of the controller? If so, I did that simply so I can reinstall the mirror and return it to factory if the need ever arises.
Dude, I have seen that pic about 12 times now, and it still looks great. I may go that route if what I already have in the closet doesn't make me happy. That D2 is spec'ing out real nice- I can't wait for the hands-on review.
