Situation - 68 Mustang: a/c hoses provided with Custom Auto Air perfect fit a/c system that connect to the condensor and dryer do not fit around the BeCool radiator (wider than stock). Local hose and auto a/c shops are not able to fabricate custom line. Custom Auto Air said that I was on my own and that didn't need the wider radiator - too late now.

Question - While most of the a/c system uses o-ring connectors, the condensor and dryer fittings are flare. I've been unable to locate the specifications on these flare fittings. Are they SAE 45, AN 37, something else? I'm thinking of using aeroquip fittings and hose to solve the problem.

Thanks,
Kent

my mistake above: Classic Auto Air, not Custom ...

Also, I asked Classic Auto Air about the flare fittings - it's their equipment after all - and was told that a "flare is a flare". Good thing they don't sell brake lines.

I'd keep looking, here in this little piss-ant town I live in, there's at least one parts house that can make-up new A/C lines. You should have a place soemwhere around you that can do likewise.

I'd think any decent A/C shop could handle that. I really don't like Classic's response, "you're on your own"??? Pretty crappy customer service.
