well im swapping my motor and tranny into my 89 notch outta my GT.
Was wondering how much i might benifit from a custom cam with my set up.
i plan on puttin the bottle on it before the track opens up.I know without a doubt i can tune my car into the mid 12's with what i got. should i spend the money and go with a ground cam while i got the motor out, or is the E cam good for me....oh see sig for mods
As always thanks for yalls professional responses. :nice:

No doubt, a custom cam can perform better than an off the shelf cam as long as it is made for your specific combo. However, if you are looking for 12s, it's not hard at all to do that with an off the shelf cam. It would be a lot cheaper. Custom grinds have the cool factor when you are bench racing, but are not always needed to to meet your goals.

If you don't mind the 325, I'd say go custom. Looks like you already ran a few 12s. Even if you just add the spray I bet you'd be lookin at least at low 12s (w/o the custom cam) possibily more. Your choice :)

with the spray im hopin for low 11's after i get a dyno tune.
this car will run mid 12's on the motor. so im pretty positive mid to low 11s is well in reach

With my old 302 combo (see it on page 7 of my site) I went 11.80 @ 116 on motor (ET STREETS) went 11.11 @ 130 on a 175shot (ET STREETS) car made to much torque and was a handful before the 1/8. :nice:
