Hey all. I've been running open manifolds for about a month now and love it but was FINALLY stopped by the police 2 days ago. He was VERY nice and respectful for a change and fortunatly believed my incredible story of my stollen flowmasters. He said it sounded nice but it wasn't gonna fly in downtown Columbia. Sooooooo rather than buy some more flowmasters or put the stocks back on I did something no one else has tried. (or at least admitted to) I bought a set of glasspacks. Thrush is alive and kicking still for all who remember. Right now they are just hanging clamped on the end of my X pipe to keep me legal but in the next couple weeks I'll be welding up a side exit exhaust. OH and the BEST part the price total......$78 bucks
plus a case of beer for my buddy with the welder.
Oh and I was really surprised by the sound of the Thrushs. Everyone told me glasspacks are WAY too loud and sound like ****. This is false as they have a resonance that just makes me grin from ear to ear. ALSO quieter than the flows.
I'll keep this thread updated with my progress and the muffler break in.
