hey everyone thought i would share some pics of my subframe connectors i made for my 66. i built them because the two sets i purchased i didnt like the way they fit up or connected. if anyone is intersted in a set and get enough interest i will make a jig and built a batch of them. so let me know
dan

shot of them installed under the stang.

they butt up to the front frame and weld in then run up the inside of the rear frame and get welded on 3sides or all the way around if your carpet is out .

you need to do more than just butt it up the front floor supports, there's a lot of twist happening right there so you need to put some fish plates or something on the side, otherwise you'll just end up twisting them off at the front. other than that they look really good, though.

I did a similar thing but i made mine a lot longer and tied the front and rear frame rails together. I also made them fit the floor a lot better then the ones they sell. Here is a few pics of the ones I made

Subframes

Tinman Fabrications has SFC just like that for those of us who dont have time or ability to fab our own. They were around $120 last i checked. Installed fast and look great!
