Cutting Coil Springs

I have a set of intrax coil springs in my 98 with kyb struts and shocks. The front just isnt low enough for me and I want to go down another inch. My question is how do you know how much to cut off of the spring? The car has been lowered for 2 months now. I dont want to cut to much!
A. do I measur 1 inch up on the coil spring
B. Measure 1 inch in from the end of the coil

just think of it as a full circle, but i wouldn't cut that much, just cut like a half of a coil, like a half of a circle. I used a chop saw when I cut a coil from my rear C springs, like a knife through butter

Im going to have my local speed shop cut the spring for 20 dollars. Im just to unsure of how much to cut to accomplish a 1" drop. I will post pics!
